This wasn’t a flashy grow, and that’s exactly why it worked. 24K Gold doesn’t reward heavy hands or impatient tweaks. Xpie77 ran this one in a greenhouse, soil underfoot, LEDs doing backup duty, and mostly just paid attention.

No chasing record yields, no forcing feed schedules. The plant was allowed to move at its own pace, and by the end it showed why Kush genetics still shine when they’re not rushed.

Grow Diary

Weeks 1 & 2 – Getting Established

The seeds cracked cleanly using the paper towel method, which always sets the tone right. Once in soil, the seedlings stayed short and focused on rooting instead of stretching.

The greenhouse held steady in the mid-20s Celsius, humidity stayed comfortably high, and the Spider Farmer 100W LED provided enough light without pushing growth too hard.

No nutrients yet, just water and letting the soil do its job. Leaf color stayed even and healthy. Nothing exciting to look at, but nothing to fix either.

Weeks 3 & 4 – Veg Finds Its Rhythm

By week three, the plants started acting like they meant business. Height climbed toward 15 cm and pushed closer to 30 cm by the end of week four. Broad indica leaves and thicker stems gave the plants a sturdy, grounded look.

This is where CANNA Vega was introduced, lightly, just to support what the soil had already provided. A bit of LST opened the structure without forcing it.

The plants stayed uniform, which is always reassuring when running multiples side by side.

Weeks 5 & 6 – The Flip and the Stretch

The switch to 12/12 brought a controlled stretch, pushing plants into the 60 cm–75 cm range without getting leggy.

Lighting moved to the Mars Hydro 450W LED, and feeding transitioned to CANNA Flores with CalMag added to keep things balanced during the shift. Pistils appeared right on schedule.

The first real aroma showed up here too, still subtle, but clearly citrus riding underneath the Kush base. Humidity was eased down gradually to prepare for denser flowers.

Weeks 7 & 8 – Where the Weight Shows Up

This was the payoff phase. Stretch slowed, structure locked in, and final height settled around 90 cm–100 cm. Bud sites stacked, resin production kicked up, and the greenhouse started smelling properly loud.

Citrus zest, earth, and that unmistakable Kush backbone filled the space. PK 13-14 was added during this window, carefully, just enough to help bulk without pushing stress.

Lower growth was cleaned up to improve airflow. Trichomes turned mostly cloudy, right on schedule.

Weeks 9 & 10 – Letting Them Finish

By now the plants were clearly in the home stretch. Buds were dense and heavy, pistils darkened and pulled inward, and fan leaves began to fade naturally. Feeding was reduced and then stopped.

This stage wasn’t about doing more, just about not getting in the way. Humidity stayed low, airflow stayed steady, and trichomes slowly edged closer to amber.

Weeks 11 & 12 – Chop Time

The final weeks were quiet and uneventful, which is exactly how you want them. Water only, stable conditions, and a lot of time spent checking trichomes with a loupe. At harvest, trichomes were mostly cloudy with about 15–20% amber.

The plants came down after 79 days total. Each one yielded roughly 80 gram wet, landing the grow around 400 gram wet overall. No surprises, just a clean, well-timed finish.

Detailed Observations & Grower Reflections

The most impressive thing about this run was how little correction was needed. The plants stayed even from start to finish, which says a lot about stable conditions and measured feeding.

Stretch was predictable and manageable, internode spacing stayed tight, and flower density developed without foxtailing or stress signs.

The citrus aroma built gradually rather than spiking early, which often points to a healthier, more balanced ripening phase.

The natural fade toward the end happened without any problems or panic yellowing, which means that the feeding schedule was in line with what the plant really needed.

This was a grow that was better to watch than to get involved in. The plants seemed to do better every time the grower didn't act right away.

24k Gold: Final Result and Strain Review

24K Gold ended up exactly where you want a kush to end up. The buds were thick, full of resin, and smelled good. They had a citrusy smell on top and an earthy depth underneath.

The smoke stayed smooth and grounded when it dried and cured, neither harsh or too strong.  Effects were calm and steady, making them great for nighttime use without entirely killing motivation.

Yield stayed consistent across all five plants, reinforcing that this was a balanced grow rather than a pushed one. It’s a strain that rewards patience, and this run showed that clearly.

Nothing fancy, nothing forced, just good fundamentals producing good cannabis.
