Chemdawg

Many wild stories surround the origin of Chemdawg, sometimes also called Chemdog.

It is thought that the strain originated from a Nepalese or a Thai Sativa. Perhaps more interestingly, the strain has created several iconic descendants, including the legendary OG Kush and Sour Diesel. 

According to some, the original breeder was Chemdawg, who obtained the seeds by buying them from a friend during one of his travels. The strain was selected and stabilized to obtain the Chemdawg we know today.

However, many believe Chemdawg gets its name from its pungent aroma and a distinctive chemical diesel note.

Growing Information

Our Chemdawg strain is suitable for advanced growers and growers looking for a strain to train. Think of SOG, SCROG, or LST. Chemdawg is ideally suited for this.

Its structure is a typical hybrid, with a central head that protrudes slightly above the many satellite branches, giving it the shape of a Christmas tree.

It is also a plant that offers some challenges. To overcome the challenges, growing the plant indoors or in a greenhouse is strongly recommended.

Chemdawg is a Sativa-dominant cannabis strain with an increased risk of mold or mildew. By growing indoors (or in a greenhouse), you can keep a close eye on the humidity and, if necessary, take immediate steps when such problems occur.

Don't get too worried about this, though. When growing indoors, the chance of such problems occurring is minimal. Chemdawg feminized is a variety with a relatively average flowering time of about 9 to 10 weeks.

Outdoors, the harvest time is early to mid-October. At the end of flowering, the buds are beautifully bright green combined with purple and spherical. With our feminized Chemdawg strain seeds, you will grow plants that reach a height of about 125 cm when grown indoors.

Outdoors in open ground, the plants can grow up to 2.5 meters. Even in the Northern Hemisphere, yields of up to 600 grams per plant can easily be achieved outdoors under ideal circumstances. Indoors, after about 9 weeks of flowering, the experienced grower can harvest up to 500 gr/m2.
