HAPPY91 began the diary at week five and rode it until harvest at week eighteen, feminizing LSD through a full indoor run.  This LSD plant produced a resin-laden bush with earthy, woody, herbal notes and a giggly, relaxed effect profile after careful training between Coast of Maine organics below and Mars Hydro LEDs above.  Let's go over it week by week.

Grow Diary

Week 5 (Vegetation)

By week five, LSD had gained traction and received its first significant round of LST. To increase light penetration and open the canopy, HAPPY91 bent and pinned branches.  This was combined with a ¼-cup Stonington Plant Food top dressing. For airflow, lower foliage was pruned. With the lights turned down to 50%, the temperature was around 27 °C during the day and dropped to 21 °C at night. The structure started to grow into a broad, level bush that would later be ideal for flowering.

LSD Week 5LSD Week 5

Week 6 (Vegetation)

Wiscasset worm castings, which fed the soil biology, gave LSD a boost. Defoliation thinned the undergrowth once more, and LST persisted, tightening the plant's horizontal spread. As she absorbed the stable humidity (about 55%) and 18/6 light cycle, she appeared robust and green. Just enough water was applied consistently and sparingly to maintain the organic amendments' activity.

LSD Week 6LSD Week 6

Week 7 (Vegetation)

The focus this week was on keeping things organized. After adjusting the LST wires, the plant grew a little wider beneath the LEDs. LSD took on its pre-flower shape when hydrated steadily with plain water. The canopy remained low (about 14 inch), with wide leaves that soaked up half of the LED power and stacked like solar panels.

LSD Week 7LSD Week 7

Week 8 (Vegetation)

LSD went into bush mode when a topping was added to five nodes, supplying energy to several colas. An additional ¼ cup of castings increased the nutrients in the root zone. Additionally, the grower kept airflow tight by defoliating lower fan leaves. With robust branches, a broad canopy, and evenly spaced internodal spacing, LSD was primed by the end of this week.

LSD Week 8LSD Week 8

Week 9 (Flowering Begins)

To bloom, flip. To start flower production, LSD was given ¼ cup of Coast of Maine Fish Bone Meal. She also liked to water more frequently, using roughly half a gallon at a time. Defoliation improved airflow around the developing bud sites by clearing the lowers. To maintain humidity close to 50%, a humidifier and wall-mount fan were installed. In order to increase the intensity of the canopy, lights were increased to 57%.  At the tips, white hairs started to grow.

LSD Week 9LSD Week 9

Week 10 (Flowering)

Just plain water this week, steady as she goes. Building floral mass, LSD drank every other day. The height increased to 26 inch. Energy was forced deeper into the canopy as the light intensity rose to 65%.  Along each trained cola, the early pistils formed tight budlets.

LSD Week 10LSD Week 10

Week 11 (Flowering)

In order to maintain stable phosphorus levels for bud growth, HAPPY91 top-dressed an additional ¼-cup of Fish Bone Meal.  About 0.25 gallons were delivered with each watering.  LSD's buds grew larger, sugar leaves started to frost, and the scent changed to earthy-herbal when the light power was reduced to 75%.  All of her tops were equally exposed, and she was still being guided into shape by training wires.

LSD Week 11LSD Week 11

Week 12 (Flowering)

Microbial life in the soil was nourished by an additional ¼ cup of worm castings. Light power peaked at 100%, and the plant drank steadily—0.25 gallons per day. As the canopy filled with dense flower sites, buds started stacking calyxes.  Mold risk was avoided by maintaining a tight humidity level of about 50%.

LSD Week 12LSD Week 12

Week 13 (Flowering)

The soil was worked with an additional ¼ cup of fish bone meal. LSD remained potent at about 37 inch, with resin-coated thickening colas. The classic LSD profile was hinted at as the scent grew deeper into woody and earthy notes. Watering continued every day at a rate of roughly a quarter-gallon.

LSD Week 13LSD Week 13

Week 14 (Flowering)

The daily demand for water increased by 0.5 gallons. Weight caused colas to sag, and cages were added to hold up the protruding tops. The canopy was baked by the intense light. The room filled with that strong, herbal-earth smell, and resin rails formed on sugar leaves.

LSD Week 14LSD Week 14

Week 15 (Flowering)

Hydration was customized for each plant. The daily intake for LSD was increased to more closely resemble 0.5 gallons. There was a noticeable swelling of the buds, thick nodes that resembled golf balls growing along each cola. Trichomes began to cloud, and pistils began to push outward.

LSD Week 15LSD Week 15

Week 16 (Flowering)

To prevent oversaturation, the watering schedule was slowed down a little—0.25 to 0.5 gallons per day, depending on the day. The buds of LSD were thick, sticky, and resin-rich by this point. With full LED power, the canopy glistened. The grower only used light, airflow, and patience.

LSD Week 16LSD Week 16

Week 17 (Flowering → Ripening)

LSD was watered sparingly during this last flowering stretch, allowing the soil to dry out a little in between feeds. Trichomes displayed a mixture of amber and cloudy. The green to yellow fading of the leaves indicated that the nutrient stores had been depleted. Branches bent under the weight as buds reached their maximum density.

LSD Week 17LSD Week 17

Week 18 – Harvest

LSD was chopped with the other strains on October 22. Colas were hung in a drying environment with 50% humidity after fan leaves were removed. LSD yielded 2.5 oz of dry flower after drying and curing. "Easy" was the difficulty rating. The flavors ranged from herbal to earthy to woody, and the effects tended to be giddy, relaxed, and hungry. Old-school earthy notes encase a happy body buzz and classic LSD potency.

Final Notes

The LSD run of HAPPY91 demonstrates how this strain does well with straightforward organics and cautious canopy training. The plant rewarded the grower with dense, resinous flowers from week five to week eighteen, remaining healthy and never exhibiting any deficiencies. Considering the even canopy approach, the yield of 2.5 oz was commendable for a single plant in a mixed tent. In keeping with its reputation as a potent, joyful stone, LSD turned out to be a forgiving, manageable cultivar.
