Diesel strains have a mysterious history. Rumor has it that they began as a variation of Chemdog. Chemdog or Chemdawg first arose in the early '90s when a breeder with the eponymous name found some seeds in a bag of weed he purchased at a Grateful Dead concert.
Instantly recognizing the potential of this strain, which appeared to be a descendant from original landrace strains, Chemdog decided to explore this fuel-smelling cannabis variety further.
It wasn't until 1995 when a New York-based breeder got his hands on the Chemdog strain and renamed it New York Diesel. Several years later, Original Diesel emerged, followed shortly by Sour Diesel, Turbo Diesel, and many other various strain types of Diesel.
Fast-forward to 2019, when breeders decided to respond to the growing demand for CBD-rich strains. They crossed the highly popular NY Diesel with a heavy CBD strain, resulting in the potent feminised CBD Diesel strain that offers almost equal levels of THC and CBD.
Diesel is, for the uninitiated, above all, associated with overpriced fuel. However, cannabis fans will recognize it as one of the most popular and strongest cannabis strains available.
For example, take our Diesel CBD feminised, also known as CB Diesel CBD feminised, which combines the soothing effects of CBD with the typical aromas of the all-time favorite NY Diesel feminised strain.
Most growers choose to grow Diesel CBD feminised marijuana seeds indoors and outdoors; this plant thrives very well in a sunny environment. The plant develops strong branches to carry the thick buds during growth.
Indoors, it will reach a height of 80 cm—100 cm, while outdoors, it can even reach a height of 300 cm. Diesel CBD is a species that can stretch slightly and has an open structure thanks to its Sativa genes. Therefore, it is good to know that Diesel CBD feminised is SoG and SCRoG suitable.
The plants grown from the Diesel CBD seeds have excellent fungal resistance. However, with outdoor cultivation, growers will have to watch their strain, especially in the last period of its growth between mid and late October, when she is slightly sensitive to mould.
Diesel CBD has a flowering phase that varies between 8 and 10 weeks. Once flowering begins, the buds create a thick layer of sparkling resin. With a flowering time of just 9-10 weeks, these feminised cannabis seeds develop into an adult harvest-ready marijuana plant within a very reasonable timeframe.
Indoors, with 80 to 100 cm, these plants remain very well manageable for those with limited space. However, outdoors, Diesel CBD feminised seeds grow into plants of considerable size with a max length of 300 cm.
The Diesel CBD strain is productive and can produce 400 - 500 grams per m² with methods like SOG and SCROG. Outdoor growers of these 3-meter monster plants can rejoice in a generous harvest between 450 and 700 grams per plant.
With minimal levels of 6% THC and 7% CBD, this cannabis plant offers the best of both worlds! Diesel CBD feminised offers high levels of the cannabinoid cannabidiol (CBD), to which it owes its name.
