McBubatz didn’t dress this grow up to be anything special. The Cherry Pie Autoflower went into coco, under a modern LED, in a tent that’s seen plenty of cycles before this one.

The goal wasn’t to prove a point. It was to run the plant clean, keep it healthy, and see what the Cherry Pie had to say for itself. Autos tend to tell you pretty quickly whether they like the plan. This one didn’t complain.

Grow Diary

Weeks 1 & 2 — Vegetation

Cherry Pie came up without hesitation. No helmet head. No slow start. She rooted into the coco quietly and stayed short, which made it clear the light height was right from the start.

Leaves were clean and evenly spaced. Nothing flashy happened here, which was exactly the point. This was a plant getting its feet under it.

Weeks 3 & 4 — Vegetation

Growth picked up in a way that felt natural rather than forced. Nodes stacked, fan leaves widened, and the stem thickened enough to support what was coming next. Feeding stayed simple.

No chasing runoff numbers. The plant looked comfortable, and that was enough. By the end of week four, there was plenty of lower growth that clearly wasn’t going to make the cut later.

Weeks 5 & 6 — Transition to Flower

Pistils showed up right on time. Stretch followed, but it never ran away. This was when McBubatz cleaned her up, lollipopping the lower section and pulling a few leaves to open things up.

Cherry Pie didn’t stall or sulk afterward. She just kept going. A light sweetness started to creep into the tent, noticeable but still faint.

Weeks 7 & 8 — Flowering

Flower set in properly here. Bud sites filled out across the canopy instead of stacking unevenly. Resin showed early, especially on the sugar leaves.

The FC3000-EVO covered the space easily, no hot spots, no shaded corners. The smell leaned fruity now. Not loud, but it lingered longer each time the tent was opened.

Weeks 9 & 10 — Mid to Late Flower

This was the weight-gain phase. Buds tightened and trichomes thickened. Pistils started turning, slowly. Leaves stayed green longer than expected, which suggested the feeding had stayed balanced.

There wasn’t much to do except keep airflow moving and resist the urge to poke at things.

Weeks 11 & 12 — Ripening

Everything slowed down. Stretch was long over. The plant focused on finishing what she’d already built. Flushing started and the fade came in gradually, not all at once.

Aroma sharpened into something sweeter and more rounded, less planty. Cherry Pie looked like she was right where she wanted to be.

Week 13 — Harvest

Harvest landed around day 85. Trichomes were ready, pistils mostly turned, and the plant had stopped asking for anything. Wet weight came in around 270 gram. After drying and trimming, the final jar weight settled at 58 gram.

The buds were compact, sticky, and carried that same sweet fruit note into the cure.

Detailed Observations & Grower’s Reflections

Cherry Pie Autoflower never tried to be difficult. She stayed within herself the entire run. Training was accepted without hesitation. Nutrients stayed forgiving. The tent never felt crowded.

The light was more than enough for a single plant, and coco kept everything predictable as long as watering stayed consistent. This was a grow that rewarded staying out of the way.

Challenges & Solutions

There weren’t any real problems to solve. Late-flower yellowing matched the flush. Humidity stayed under control thanks to defoliation and airflow. Nothing locked out. Nothing burned.

Most of the success here came from not reacting to every small change.

Cherry Pie Auto: Final Result and Strain Review

Once cured, the smoke leaned sweet and fruity with a relaxed, easygoing effect. It wasn’t overpowering. It didn’t need to be.

Yield stayed realistic for an autoflower, and quality reflected the calm, steady approach taken throughout the cycle. Cherry Pie finished the way she started, quietly and cleanly.
