G13

The G13 strain, G-13, and G Thirteen are shrouded in mystery and legend. Rumor is that G13 seeds originated in a Mississippi research facility in the 1960s or 1970s.

Under the supervision of the University of Mississippi, pure Afghani landrace clones were reportedly used to create a super Indica strain. 

Pioneer Neville Schoenmaker, founder of the world’s first cannabis seed bank, is said to have obtained a cutting labeled G13 from a collection of strains (G1 to G23) for its stability and exceptional qualities.

The G13 code is believed to represent marijuana cultivated to the point of being medicinally useful—a classification some say is still referenced by government agencies.

Growing Information

G13 cannabis seeds can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, these weed plants prefer a Mediterranean-like climate with plenty of sunshine.
