Cannabeast40 grew Haze Autoflower indoors for this run. The plant had a vibrant sativa structure and a little longer autoflower cycle, which is what its genetics said it would.

It didn't produce the most, but it did give the grower a good amount of frosted buds with that characteristic Haze smell.

Grow Diary

Week 1 & 2 – Seedling / Early Veg

The Haze Auto sprouted fast and had little trouble growing on Biobizz LightMix soil. The 240 W LED kept the early growth stable, with temps around 25 °C and humidity around 60%.

The seedling had robust cotyledons and the first sets of genuine leaves by the end of week 2. There were no fertilizers added yet; only water to keep the medium wet.

Week 3 & 4 – Vegetation

The plant grew in a way that was typical of sativa, with greater spaces between nodes. Cannabeast40 started giving Terra Aquatica TriPart nutrients with low EC and Cal-Mag.

The plant grew swiftly, and by the fourth week, the stem was sturdy and several side branches were starting to grow. To open up the canopy, a little LST was used, but there was no topping or substantial training.

Week 5 & 6 – Transition to Flower

Around day 30, the first pistils started to show up, which was the commencement of flowering. The nutrient mix was changed to bloom feed, and the plants were watered more often as the roots filled out the 5 L pot.

The plant grew a little, showing off her Haze traits, but it was still easy to care for indoors because the climate was regulated. The temperature stayed between 24 °C and 26 °C, while the relative humidity dropped to about 50%.

Week 7 & 8 – Early Flower

Early Flower Bud sites started to form on every branch, and white pistils started to shoot out in groups. You could see trichomes by week 8, and the plant smelled mild and spicy.

To make more flowers, Cannabeast40 turned to Green Buzz Nutrients. Feeding was continuous, but not too much, to avoid burning the tips. The plant seemed healthy and didn't have any big problems.

Week 9 & 10 – Mid Flower

The colas got thicker, and the Haze character showed through very clearly. Compared to indica autos, the buds were light, but the resin production was great.

Trichomes expanded throughout the sugar leaves, and the smell became stronger and harsher, with a mix of citrus and earthy spice. During this time, RH was kept around 45% to stop mould from growing.

Week 11 & 12 – Late Flower & Ripening

Most of the pistils had darkened and curled in by day 75, and most of the trichomes were hazy with a few ambers. The grower used pH-balanced water to flush the medium for the final ten days.

The buds got a little firmer, keeping the lengthy sativa flower shape that Haze is known for. On day 86, the plant was mature and covered in resin, so it was time to harvest.

Observations & Reflections

Haze Autoflower has a longer life cycle than most autos, almost 12 weeks, but it was worth the wait because it produced good sativa-leaning buds.

The 5 L pot made the plant smaller, which maintained the production at a modest 1.2 oz but it showed off its genetics quite well.

The finished concoction had traditional Haze flavours of spice, earth, and citrus, and it had a clear, uplifting effect.
