Weeks 2-3: Fat Leaves and First Training

Weeks 8-9: Early Flower and Skunky Momentum

Weeks 8 and 9 were where the flower run started to settle in.

By week 8, she reached 22 inch and was healthy, strong, and already carrying a nice skunky smell. Rangaku kept up the defoliation as she moved deeper into bloom.

Week 9 was more of the same, but with better signs. Defoliate. Tie down. Repeat. The plant was already showing nice flower and was described as a skunky little thing.

Weeks 12-13: Sticky, Fat, and Stinking Out the Place

Week 12 showed a plant fully locked into flower. Still healthy. Still sticky. Still getting fat. The smell was now distinct and strong, and the grower kept feeding her while letting the flowers continue to build.

By week 13, she was looking beautiful and really stinking out the place. The fade had started, and Rangaku was already thinking she had maybe another couple of weeks left.

This was the point where the run had clearly paid off. The frame was built, the flowers were dense, and the aroma had taken over. A loud, sticky, old-school finish was coming.

Weeks 14-16: Cloudy Trichomes, Dark Period, and Harvest

Week 14 brought cloudy trichomes and a little more fade. Rangaku estimated another two weeks until finish.

By week 15, she was done. The plan was a 48-hour dark period with the dehumidifier running before clipping and chopping. With flowers this dense, that dehumidifier note matters.

The last thing you want is to grow a great plant and then get sloppy right before harvest.

Week 16 was chop time. The plant was trimmed and put on the drying rack. The trim took six hours, but Rangaku said it was not difficult. The flowers were dense, sticky, and smelled phenomenal.

Final grow time was 107 days, with a 10/10 rating and an estimated 12 oz harvest.

Detailed Observations & Grower’s Reflections

This plant had three clear traits from the diary.

First, the leaves were huge. Rangaku kept coming back to that early on, and it shaped the grow. Big leaves are great for engine power, but they also need management indoors. Defoliation was the right move.

Second, the smell came early and kept building. Skunky in veg, stronger in flower, then properly loud by the finish. That is exactly what you want from a strain like Alaskan Thunder Fuck.

This was a proper result.
