Maple Leaf is a smooth-burning, incense-scented beauty that delivers a full-body calm without the couch lock. Perfect for growers chasing classic flavors and mellow sativa energy.
Maple Leaf might sound polite, but there’s nothing shy about this plant once it hits full stride. A spirited sativa-dominant hybrid with serious Afghan lineage, this strain blends vintage landrace charm with modern grower-friendly traits. It’s easy to handle, surprisingly productive, and the smoke? Smooth, woody, and deeply relaxing, like an evening hike through a pine forest that ends with a grin and some very happy limbs. Whether you’re growing for flavor, feel-good potency, or a bit of both, Maple Leaf delivers with confidence and a nostalgic kick.
Maple Leaf comes from classic stock: Mazar crossed with Afghan Kush. This pairing taps into that old-school, resin-rich hash plant heritage while still holding onto the kind of vitality that makes it a great choice for modern growers. Expect compact yet lively plants, thick with aromatic trichomes and that unmistakable Afghan backbone. It's a nod to the rugged resilience of mountain-grown cannabis, polished up for consistent indoor or outdoor cultivation.
There’s a slow-build power to Maple Leaf. It doesn’t slap you silly, but it definitely lets you know it’s in the room. First, there’s a mellow warmth, a happy, grounding high that seeps through the body like a deep sigh. Then comes the tingle, a little spark of energy in the limbs that keeps you pleasantly aware. With 70% sativa influence, there’s mental clarity and contentment without any heavy fog.
Flavor-wise, it leans earthy and refined. Think incense and pine layered with a kushy sweetness that lingers on the tongue. It’s smooth but expressive, making it a favorite for those who appreciate nuanced old-world flavors over candy-shop profiles.
With 18% THC and 2% CBD, Maple Leaf offers a balanced, reliable potency. It’s strong enough to satisfy seasoned users but mellow enough for casual evening sessions. The presence of CBD also helps round out the high, keeping things grounded and preventing any overwhelming edges.
Expect a terpene profile rooted in classic herbal power. Alpha Pinene and Citral bring fresh, piney sharpness. Beta Caryophyllene adds spice and depth. Borneol and Humulene round it out with sweet woodiness and a touch of musk. The result is a fragrant, layered smoke that’s as therapeutic as it is flavorful.
This is a strain that plays nice. Beginner growers will find it forgiving and straightforward, while experienced cultivators can dial it in for bigger yields or more resin-rich flowers. With high fungal resistance and a stable growth pattern, Maple Leaf is built for consistency. It doesn’t throw tantrums, doesn’t stretch too wildly, and won’t collapse under pressure.
Maple Leaf adapts well to almost any setup. Indoors, it stays in that manageable 31 inch to 59 inch range, making it a solid choice for small tents or discreet spaces. Outdoors, it can stretch a bit more, reaching between 39 inch and 71 inch, but still maintains a sturdy structure that handles wind and humidity without issue. Greenhouse growers will love how easily it adjusts to varied light and temperature swings, especially in mountain or Mediterranean climates.
Flowering takes around 63 to 70 days, which is right in the sweet spot for photoperiod sativas. Indoors, you can expect yields of around 1.3–1.8 oz per square feet. Outdoors, in good conditions, that can go up to 15.9–21.2 oz per plant. Not bad at all for a low-fuss plant with traditional roots and modern productivity.
Maple Leaf seeds are a gem for anyone who appreciates flavorful classics with grower-friendly genetics. overall a positive experience. the seeds i bought germinated and produced a great crop.
Maple Leaf feminized seeds produced decent results overall. While the germination rate was good, I did experience a couple of seeds that didn’t sprout. However, the ones that did grow turned into healthy plants with a moderate yield. The quality of the buds was solida nd the potency is up there. Still, a good choice if you're looking for reliable seeds.
