Jack Widow doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. It just spins it faster. This photoperiod strain is what happens when two legends shake hands and decide to build something bigger. Jack Herer brings the cerebral fireworks. White Widow lays down the resin-heavy foundation. Together, they deliver a sativa-dominant hybrid that punches well above its weight class.
It’s energetic without being edgy, relaxing without knocking you flat. That sweet spot. Great for wake-and-bakes that turn into long, talkative afternoons. It’s got a kick of lemon, that signature haze swirl, and just enough skunk and spice to keep things interesting. A great all-rounder for growers who want something reliable, punchy, and just a little bit old school.
Jack Widow is the lovechild of Jack Herer and White Widow, two absolute titans of the cannabis world. Jack Herer, named after the legendary activist, is all about clarity and creative drive. White Widow, on the other hand, is a frost monster with knockout resin production and a soothing body buzz. Together, they form a fast-growing, high-yielding hybrid that leans hard into the sativa side of the spectrum but never forgets its indica backbone. The result is a plant that stretches tall, grows dense, and stays surprisingly manageable in a tent or greenhouse.
This is a sociable strain with brains and body. Expect a clean, uplifting mental shift. Nothing jittery. Followed by a gentle slide into a mellow, sleepy calm. Perfect for winding down without switching off entirely. The flavor profile is a wild ride: sharp lemon on the inhale, incense and haze through the middle, and a funky, skunky, fruity finish that lingers just long enough. It’s complex, but not chaotic.
Jack Widow brings a solid 21% THC to the table, which is more than enough to deliver a noticeable and long-lasting effect, even for seasoned users. The 0.5% CBD offers a touch of balance without dulling the high. It’s clear-headed, strong, and gently calming without turning sedative unless you overdo it.
Ocimene, terpinolene, linalool, and humulene carry the show here. Ocimene adds that bright, citrusy lift. Terpinolene brings in the herbal, piney freshness. Linalool keeps everything soft around the edges with a floral calm, while humulene grounds it all in earthy, slightly bitter depth. Together, they create a terpene blend that’s sharp, hazy, and quietly complex.
Beginner-friendly but with enough vigor to keep experienced growers engaged. Jack Widow is robust, adaptable, and doesn't throw tantrums if you miss a beat. That said, she does appreciate a bit of breathing room during veg, especially indoors where she can stretch fast once she feels the flip.
Indoors, Jack Widow stays polite at around 39 inch to 47 inch, especially with some topping or LST. In a well-managed tent or SCROG setup, she fills out beautifully and doesn’t waste much space. Outdoors, though, she can really take off, reaching up to 118 inch tall if you let her run wild in good soil and full sun. Greenhouses are also a great option if you're dealing with shorter summers or want to protect her from the elements. Just keep an eye on humidity late in flower. Her medium resistance to mold means decent airflow is a must.
Expect a flowering time between 63 and 70 days. Indoors, yields hover around 1.8–2.1 oz per square feet with the right setup and a bit of training. Outdoors, under ideal conditions, you can pull in monster plants producing up to 28.2–35.3 oz per plant. The buds are dense, resin-soaked, and absolutely reek of that lemon-haze-skunk blend as they mature. Carbon filters recommended.
Jack Widow is for those who want legacy genetics without the fuss. Big yield, complex flavor, proper potency. All wrapped up in a plant that doesn’t need hand-holding to shine. Whether you're growing in a tent, a greenhouse, or your backyard patch, this hybrid will reward your efforts with a harvest worth showing off.

2 found this usefulAfter a few beginner strains it was time for me to choose something more challenging. I must say Jack Widow wasn't that hard to grow, but the plant does indeed need some more attention. Indoors my strains reached a height of 105 cm and yielded upto 500 grams per m2 so i'm really happy with that.
1 found this usefulCan't say it is my absolute favorite strain when you look at the effects and tastes, but the yields are very very good. A must if you are a Sativa fanatic
