Some strains just refuse to fade into the background, and Cinderella 99 is one of them. Born in the late ‘90s and still going strong, she’s got that rare combo of brain-tickling sativa energy, sweet tropical flavour, and a flowering time that won’t have you pacing the floor for weeks on end.
This isn’t just some retro pick for old heads. Cindy is still impressing new-school growers with her dense, frosty buds, tidy structure, and a high that feels like someone turned the lights on inside your skull. Whether you’re chasing a creative spark, good conversation, or just something that makes folding laundry feel like a mission from the gods, Cinderella 99 delivers. And then some.
Cinderella 99, or Cindy as she’s affectionately known, comes from an old-school cross of Jack Herer and Shiva Skunk. Originally stabilized by the legendary Brothers Grimm crew, she was designed to keep all that electric Jack Herer energy but packed into a short, fast-flowering plant that actually behaves indoors. It worked. Cindy took off in the homegrow scene for being quick, manageable, and deceptively strong. Like a little cannon in a ballgown.
The high hits fast, like someone flipped a switch. You’ll feel it right behind the eyes first, and then it spreads: bright, buzzy, and borderline euphoric. Cindy doesn’t weigh you down. She lifts you up, spins you around a little, and drops you off somewhere between chatty and downright giggly.
flavour-wise, it’s a full fruit stand up front. Think tropical notes, citrus zest, and a sweet piney finish that keeps things grounded. Crack a jar and the room fills with this tangy, herbal aroma that makes you want to roll one immediately. It’s clean, it’s sweet, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
At 20% THC and about 0.3% CBD, Cinderella 99 hits that sweet spot. She’s strong enough to keep things interesting but doesn’t go overboard. Thanks to the sativa dominance, the vibe stays light and energetic. Think clear-headed and social, not locked to the couch.
This one’s packing a wild little cocktail of terps. You’ve got nerolidol and terpinolene bringing in floral and fruity vibes, limonene brightening things up with citrusy sharpness, and pinene adding that forest-fresh clarity. There’s a bit of eugenol and cymene in the mix too. The result is a punchy, layered aroma that smells like a tropical grove crashed into a pine forest and brought snacks.
Cinderella 99 is a grower’s dream. She stays compact, doesn’t stretch like a maniac, and handles training without throwing a fit. You can top her, bend her, tuck her under a net, and she’ll bounce right back. Even first-time growers tend to come away impressed. She’s fast, low-maintenance, and rewards you with dense, sugar-dusted colas that look like they were rolled in frost.
Cindy was made for indoor grows, but she doesn’t mind a bit of sunshine either. Outdoors, she thrives in warm, dry climates where she can really stretch her legs. Greenhouses? Absolutely. Her compact size and quick flowering time make her a solid pick for discreet setups too. Just give her some airflow near harvest. Those thick buds don’t like damp.
You won’t be waiting long. Cinderella 99 flowers in just 60 to 65 days, which is lightning-fast for a sativa-leaning hybrid. Indoors, expect yields of around 1.6–2 oz per square feet. Outdoors, she can produce anywhere from 21.2–28.2 oz per plant when given the right conditions. Plants usually stay within 47 inch to 59 inch indoors and can reach 49 inch to 79 inch outdoors if left untamed. Short, sweet, and totally worth it.
If you want a sativa that grows like an indica, tastes like fruit salad, and hits like a shot of espresso, Cinderella 99 might just be your new favorite. She’s fun to grow, even more fun to smoke, and won’t take up half your calendar to finish.

The smell and taste of this are like nothing else I’ve grown! Simply delicious. The effects are like a burst of unbridled energy looking for something to do. Warning, though… this bud doesn’t want you to sit around. Keep the energy going or you’ll end up baked on the couch.
1 found this usefulC99 was a pretty decent grow. Germination was spot-on—all 4 seeds I started with popped no problem. The plants were a bit on the lanky side, so definitely be ready to support those tall ladies if you’re growing indoors. I had to throw in some extra ties to keep them from flopping over in the late flower stage. The buds were nice and dense, but the aroma wasn’t as strong as I hoped. It’s got this subtle pineapple smell that’s super pleasant, just not as loud as I usually like. The high is pretty energetic, which is cool for daytime, but it’s not the kind of thing I’d reach for when I want to veg out. Overall, a good strain if you’re looking for something to get you through the day, but it’s not my new favorite or anything.
Had a good experience with these seeds. Germination was decent, and the plants were strong throughout. The smell is super citrusy, like a fresh orange peel. I got a good amount of bud, but I think with a bit more care, the yield could’ve been even better.
