Origin

The first seeds came over from the USA in the 1980s and have been further refined here in the Netherlands, which has led to more than one High Times Cannabis Cup. This Bubblegum version is the result of a cross between two legendary strains, Power Plant and Santa Maria.

It is doubtful whether anything of the original cannabis strains that preceded that first Bubblegum cannabis strain can still be traced back because the strain has been crossed through and back for so long that it has actually become an entirely new strain. Still, the Indica-Sativa hybrid definitely originated from Mexican, Colombian and Afghan landraces.
