Sexxpot Week by Week Grow Diary

For this run, WeedSeedsExpress sent us feminised Sexxpot seeds. We grew five plants to show how well they work together and how much resin they make. The plants grew in a well-controlled indoor tent for 18 weeks, from seedling to harvest. With the right nutrients from Aptus and BIOCANNA and careful training, each plant made 3.5 oz of thick, high-quality bud.

Weeks 1–2 (Seedling Stage)

The seeds grew quickly and were put into 25L pots filled with the custom medium. The XS1000 LED lit up the room from a safe distance early on, keeping the temperature at 24 °C and the humidity at 65%. The seedlings had strong stems and healthy cotyledons.

Weeks 3–4 (Early Vegetative)

When plants were given Aptus and BIOCANNA in a balanced way, they grew stronger roots and more leaves. Consistent management of LED height kept the canopy tight and close together. The humidity stayed at 60%.

Weeks 5–6 (Late Vegetative)

After topping in week 5, there was more than one main cola. Defoliation and LST both started at the same time to make the structure more open. In week 6, selective HST was used to make the stems stronger. On the sides, plants grew very well.

Weeks 7–10 (Pre-Flower)

The change happened when the light schedule went from 12/12 to 12/12. XS2000 LEDs took over the main canopy lighting. The nutrient ratios were changed so that the buds would grow faster and the nitrogen levels would stay low. Plants filled the tent evenly, which means that the pistils are growing well.

Weeks 11–12 (Early Flower)

The ScrOG net was put up to hold up the canopy and spread it out. A round of defoliation got rid of the lower growth, which let more light and air in.   Light LST changes kept all the tops at the same level. In week 11, HST was used again to make the structure stronger one last time.

Weeks 13–14 (Mid Flower)

The bud sites began to pile up a lot, and a layer of frost began to form. The scents got stronger and began to smell like a sweet, floral musk. In week 14, another defoliation got rid of extra fan leaves, which made sure that the colas that were growing got the best light possible.

Weeks 15–16 (Late Flower)

There were more trichomes being made, and the calyx swelling was easier to see. The humidity went down to 45% to stop mould from growing. The buds grew better when they were fed foods high in phosphorus and potassium.

Weeks 17–18 (Ripening & Harvest)

The last lower bud sites got light after the last defoliation in week 17. The plants only got water that was balanced for pH. The trichomes were at their most mature by the 18th week, when they were a good mix of cloudy and amber. After that, they picked the plants, carefully trimmed them, and dried them for ten days in a controlled environment.

Detailed Observations & Grower’s Reflections

Sexxpot had a uniform canopy full of dense colas thanks to the combination of topping, ScrOG, and defoliation. The two-light system made sure that the light reached every part of the plant, so the buds were always the same quality from top to bottom. The smell during late flower was so strong that it made you want to get high, and the sticky resin promised strength. The finished product looked great and had a lot of different terpenes in it.

Challenges & Solutions

During mid-flower, it was hard to keep the humidity up because the dense growth held onto more water. A dehumidifier kept the levels in a safe range, which kept mould from growing. It was important to time the nutrients.The plants stayed healthy and didn't have any lockouts or deficiencies because the Aptus and BIOCANNA inputs were changed at the right times. Keeping LST, HST, and ScrOG working together was hard work, but the end result was a canopy that was even and let in a lot of light and produced a lot of food.

Harvest & Post-Harvest Insights

The smoke was smooth and tasty after two weeks of curing. It started with a calming, euphoric feeling that led to deep relaxation, which is what Sexxpot is known for. Buds were hard, sticky, and looked great in jars.
