Leafy_greenz chose the classic AK-47 Auto for their first indoor grow, and the strain immediately revealed why it is so popular among growers. The two automobiles grew tall, gained weight, and taught a lot of things along the road.
After fourteen weeks, what started as plants struggling in the heat blossomed into a crop full of resin.
Each plant dried down to 114 gram of skunky, earthy buds under a BP3000 LED light, showing that autos may do well when they are taken care of.

Grow Diary
Weeks 1 & 2: Vegetation
The AK-47 Autos came up quickly from the ground and grew faster than the Northern Lights partner in the tent. By the end of the second week, they were around 9 cm to 10 cm tall and had wide green cotyledons.
At first, temperatures rose dangerously high, reaching the mid-30 °C, but changing the fans and light intensity made the environment more stable. The humidity stayed between 50 and 70 percent.
Voodoo Juice helped the roots grow, and the soil stayed just moist by watering it lightly. Both AK plants looked strong and healthy, which was a good sign for the start.

Weeks 3 & 4: Vegetation
The plants were 13 cm to 15 cm tall and had wide fan leaves during the third week. To spread the canopy, they used Low Stress Training.
Some of the bottom leaves turned yellow, which could mean that the plant needs more nutrients or that the pH level is off.
The problem was fixed and development was sped up by changing to an 18/6 light schedule and adding Terra Aquatica fertilizers. By the fourth week, the AK plants were definitely in charge of the tent.
They had robust main stems and several side branches that were ready to hold blooms.

Weeks 5 & 6: Vegetation → Pre-Flower
The AKs grew taller than 55 cm and cast a shadow on the floor of the tent with their wide leaves.
Every three days, the plants got more water, and small amounts of bloom nutrients were supplemented with nitrogen and CalMag to help the yellowing fans and new growth that was see-through.
Lollipopping got rid of shaded growth under the canopy, and LST kept shaping the plant's structure. By the sixth week, both AKs were tall, symmetrical, and plainly getting ready to bloom.

Weeks 7 & 8: Flowering
The ScrOG net was put up, and it filled up rapidly as the stretch started. The second AK plant grew to about 100 cm, making it taller than its twin, but both spread out considerably below the net.
They added a drip irrigation system that gave them around one liter of water every eight hours to keep up with their thirst. The temperature stayed between 29 °C and 30 °C, and the humidity dropped to 40–50%.
Defoliation made the crowded fans thinner, and white pistils grew along each branch. By the eighth week, you could see resin on the sugar leaves.

Weeks 9 & 10: Flowering
Flowers quickly piled up, making thick bunches on each branch. The second AK plant displayed signs of nutrient stress, such as burnt tips and spots, which were probably caused by too much salt, yet it kept growing.
The buds grew so thick that it was necessary to control the humidity, and a dehumidifier maintained the area safe. As bloom feeding got stronger, the tent filled with the unique skunky, earthy smell of AK-47.
Regularly removing leaves opened up bud sites and maintained the air flow stable.

Weeks 11 & 12: Late Flower
The AK plants stopped growing taller and started making cola. The trichomes got cloudy, and the sugar leaves turned amber. As the plants used all their stores, the lower fans became yellow and fell off.
Watering needs went down a little, but buds kept getting bigger and resin production went up. By the twelfth week, the tent was full of sticky colas that sparkled under LED lights and smelled quite strong.

Weeks 13 & 14: Ripening and Harvest
The last two weeks were spent ripening. Most of the trichomes were hazy, with some amber coming in, which is a sign that the harvest is at its peak. The remainder of the leaves fell off, leaving only heavy blossoms on clean stems.
A flush with simple water got the plants ready to be picked. The AK-47 Autos were ready to be cut by the end of the fourteenth week. They were thick and sticky. The harvest showed big, sticky buds that dried nicely.

Detailed Observations & Reflections
The AK-47 Autos lived true to their name as fast and productive cars. Both plants bounced back strongly, even though the temperature and pH levels changed a lot at first.
Training methods changed the grow from a single cola structure to a canopy full of bud sites. The second AK grew taller and was more sensitive to nutrients, while the first AK stayed more balanced.
Both let off heavy, resinous blooms that smelled like AK.
Challenges & Solutions
In the beginning, heat stress made it necessary to lower the LED intensity and run the fans harder. One plant had a lockout because the pH levels changed too quickly. This was fixed by making the water more acidic.
Salt buildup on the second AK caused the tips to be crispy, however this was fixed by feeding less and watering more often.
A dehumidifier was used to keep colas from getting mouldy and keep resin production on track during dense blossom, when humidity levels rose.
AK-47 Auto: Final Result and Strain Review
Each AK-47 Auto made 114 gram of dried buds, which is a great amount for a first run with autos. The blossoms dried into thick, resin-covered nuggets that smelled quite earthy and skunky.
There isn't any official record of the effects, but AK-47 is recognized for its balanced high, which gives you a mental boost and relaxes your body at the same time. This means that the harvest can be used in the morning and at night.
It was a complete success for a first-time indoor grow, showing what autos can do in a little tent with LED lights.
